Parade Ground Activity Area

The parade ground is 20m x 45m with a gentle slope. It has 3 flag poles and a war memorial on the edge. Groups may use it for flag break. You can set up your own activities on here. You will need to book it to ensure its availability.
There is also a memorial bench dedicated to Mr and Mrs Wadsworth who donated the Barnswood site to the young people of Macclesfield and Congleton in 1963.
The site is also the location of the District Memorial to those Scouts and Leaders who fell in both World Wars. More information on this can be found on the Memorial Page

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
