Bushcraft Area Kings School

Date: 11th May 2023 Author: Ian Mackintosh

As part of their outreach programme, Kings School is offering use of their bushcraft area free of charge to Scout Groups in the district.

The area is set up along a shallow valley with a stream running along the bottom. There are two covered areas for firefighting and under cover activities. Pond dipping can be undertaken as well as stream damming and there are also separate areas for fire lighting.

The contact at Kings to arrange bookings is Stephen Moore and he can be contacted on this email Stephen.Moores@kingsmac.co.uk

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
