Beaver Sleepover

Date: 14th Oct 2023 Author: Ian Mackintosh
Over two nights 48 intrepid beavers from Macclesfield and Congleton explored the Abney Centre Jungle both during the dark with lots of creepy crawlies and on a daytime safari to discover new creatures. They made safari jeeps, tasted mouth watering fruit kebabs, filtered dirty water, learned about endangered species, kayaked down the rapids on skateboards and played human hungry hippos.
The beavers were from 8 different colonies so lots of new friendships were made … oh and they also had time to sleep.

Thanks to all the leaders who made this wonderful weekend possible.
