HARRY PERCIVAL

On searching Ancestry military files the only one which has any relationship with Macclesfield or surrounding Districts is Harry Percival, born at Bollington in 1891 son of Amos and Mary he served in the 2nd Battalion, Manchester Regiment, number, 18684 and was killed in action, 29 August 1918. However, he was on the 1911 census as living with his family at 5, Todd Street, Higher Broughton, Manchester.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
