News about Barnswood

September 2023

In August, Barnswood hosted a number of week long Scout summer camps
and NCS were in every week doing excellent activities run by Entrust.
They all benefited from Barnswood’s excellent drainage and woodland
shelter.

The management have submitted pre-planning applications for future
developments of the site including a warden’s retreat (glamping pod),
toilets, dry shelters and a car park extension.

A reminder that Barnswood is only available on the weekend of 20th-
22nd October to M&C groups attending JOTA. For those of you
attending, booking is open and early birds get a larger choice of sites.

Barnswood will be totally closed from 22nd December until 3rd of January,
with toilet blocks 2 & 3 and sites at the South end closed from early
November to late March. Toilet blocks 1 & 4 will remain open along with
the buildings and Northern sites (except for the Christmas break).

Please note that 2024 fees are now published so you can get your camping
budgets sorted for next year.
