News about Barnswood

Barnswood is now officially open for summer. Water has been
reconnected throughout the N & S loops and TB2 & TB3 opened. The
grass has had its first cut, and will be cut monthly throughout the
summer.

We have even prepared for squirrels by buying some child steps so that
small ones can reach sinks and toilets. Ask the duty warden if you need
them.

Barnswood is a good environment for wild life so we have created packs
to help explore the rich variety present. There are packs for trees, birds,
mammals, and fungi (insect pack to come). More details will be found
on the website later this month.

One recent weekend a Manchester based Polish Scout Group hosted
other Polish Scouts from around the country with six flying in from
Poland just for the camp.
