Macclesfield District Scout Active Support Section

The Scout Active Support Unit (SAS) is a District Section which exists to support Macclesfield and Congleton Scout District in various activities throughout the year, using their knowledge, skills, spare time and enthusiasm to allow the District to function in a way that supports the District’s ability to offer young people Skills for Life.
Complementing the existing Radio Comms SAS, it provides a way to connect adults who want to help in the District without the need to commit to a leadership role.
  • Various skillsets
  • Varying time commitments
  • All Welcome

We provide support for a wide range of District Events from running activities at district camp, to keeping everyone topped up with tea and biscuits at the AGM

One of key features of an SAS role is that there is no regular time commitment. If you can help once a year or once a week – everyone is welcome

We also provide specialist support for programme delivery (example: Photography badge)
A list of skills will be circulated over time
