Adult Vacancies

These are the current district vacancies in Macclesfield and Congleton.

Group Lead Volunteer

Outline: To manage and support the Scout Group and its Leaders to ensure it runs effectively and that Scouting within the Group develops in accordance with the rules and policies of The Scout Association

The following groups have vacancies for a Group Scout Leader:

  • 2nd Poynton,
  • 6th Macclesfield,
  • 8th Macclesfield,
  • 15th Macclesfield,
  • 1st Rainow,
  • 1st Congleton,
District Scout Team Lead

Outline: To work in partnership with the District Lead Volunteer to ensure that effective operation of the Scout Section in the District in accordance with the rules as laid down by The Scout Association.

International Lead

Outline: To work in partnership with the District Programme Lead Volunteer to support the promotion if the International element of the programme within the District. This will range from “Programme in a Box” activities, through supporting groups undertaking international camps and trips to District support for those attending Jamborees, Moots and Explorer Belts. This is a new role and the dull role description will be developed with the District Programme Lead Volunteer.

Explorer Lead Volunteers

Outline: The Explorer Scout Leader is the Section Leader for an Explorer Scout Unit. They are responsible for developing and providing quality Explorer Scouting and working with the District Explorer Lead Volunteer in developing and supporting Explorer Scouting in the District as a whole.

District Water Activities Advisor

Outline: To support the District Programme Support Team Lead to ensure that all water activities in the district are carried out by appropriately qualified adults under appropriate risk assessments in line with The Scout Association Rules
