The District Headquarters was fully refurbished in 2012 and provides a range of spaces that can be used for formal training sessions, informal meetings, one to one discussions as well as full office facilities.

The District HQ is home to the district shop which sells uniform, badges, books and mementos. The shop is open Tuesday evenings 7.30 till 9.00 and other times by arrangement. Items can be ordered in advance by contacting the shop manager on mcscoutshop@gmail.com.

The district administrator works out of HQ and will usually be present when the shop is open, available to answer leader questions and process adult applications.

The accommodation comprises;

Downstairs;

District Shop; selling uniform, badges, books, and mementos

Administrator’s office; with printer and laminator
Social Area; with awards boards, information boards, sink, reference books

Disabled access unisex Toilet;

Storage Areas; holding district equipment available for loan to groups

Upstairs: – (can be accessed by lift if required)

Large meeting room; capacity 50, also equipped for training. 65” Monitor, webcam and microphone for hybrid meetings

Small Meeting room; capacity 8, furnished in lounge style; also suitable for interviews

Office; with colour printer, also suitable for meetings capacity 4

Kitchen; with sink, kettles and refrigerator

Disabled access unisex Toilet;

All main rooms have access to WiFi.

The upstairs rooms are available to book by scout groups free of charge or for a reasonable charge
